Attorneys on the LAAA's Duty Counsel Panel:

provide legal representation for a minor as soon as possible after the minor is detained on suspicion of having committed an offence. Provide legal representation for persons detained on suspicion of having committed a capital offence or such other indictable offence as the Minister may, by Order, subject to negative resolution of Parliament specify. (Section 4a of the Legal Aid and Advice Act, Chapter 7:07, as amended by Act No.3 of 2012).
