Port of Spain, January 27, 2025: Mr. Sean Moses praised the services of the Legal Aid & Advisory Authority (LAAA) following the reversal of the decision to vacate his deceased step-mother's property. Mr. Moses was represented by Legal Officer, Mr. Javier Forrester and Mrs. Asha Watkins-Montserin.
Unable to afford the cost of an Attorney to appeal the matter, Mr. Moses sought the services of the Legal Aid & Advisory Authority.
According to the Newsday article, Tobago man praises Legal Aid in property dispute, Mr. Moses stated, “I thank the Legal Aid and Advisory Authority because without them I would have been without a home. I am living on disability benefits and I am partially blind.”
The Legal Aid & Advisory Authority was established to provide legal services and representation to persons of small to moderate means. Thus, the Authority remains committed to providing accessible legal services to citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
Members of the public in need of legal advice, legal aid and other related services are encouraged to visit the LAAA’s District Offices throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Additional information is available on the Authority’s website (www.laaa.org.tt) and social media pages.
